Organization of Conferences and Schools:   In the perspective of strengthening the relationships between material scientists from Europe and countries on the south of the Mediterranean Sea, we organize a series of conferences entitled Euro-Mediterranean Conference on Materials and Renewable Energies (EMCMRE).                                                                                                                              We also organize a series of an International meeting on silicene (IMS). Silicene is a new 2D material, the equivalent of graphene for silicon, i.e. a single atomic plane of silicon in a honeycomb structure.     Recently we started a  summer school on characterization of nanomaterials.
